Rohde & Schwarz has unveiled the R&S ZNB3000, a next-generation vector network analyzer designed for high-volume production with rapid ramp-up times. Offering industry-leading measurement speed and reliability, the R&S ZNB3000 is built to streamline large-scale manufacturing of RF components. Its scalable architecture ensures flexibility, enabling quick adaptation to specific applications while supporting next-generation technologies.

It stands out with exceptional RF performance, combining high measurement accuracy and speed. With its PCB-based frontends, it maintains superior stability, reducing thermal drift and enabling consistent measurements over extended periods without recalibration. This feature makes it particularly suited for environments requiring continuous operation with minimal downtime.

The key features are:

  • Wide Frequency Range: Covers 9 kHz to 4.5 GHz, 9 GHz, 20 GHz, and 26.5 GHz.
  • Applications: Ideal for communications, consumer electronics, aerospace, and high-speed digital circuit design.
  • Dynamic Range: Up to 150 dB for superior measurement accuracy.
  • Low Trace Noise: Less than 0.0015 dB RMS for precise and stable readings.
  • High Output Power: Up to +11 dBm at 26.5 GHz, improving setup loss compensation.

A key advantage is its segmented sweep functionality, which optimizes intermediate frequency bandwidth (IFBW) and power levels for faster filter measurements. This capability simplifies test tuning and ensures compliance with pass/fail limit lines, making it an ideal choice for precision-driven applications. Designed for scalability, it supports frequency upgrades and can be expanded to 48 ports using external switch matrices. A wide range of software and hardware options further enhance its versatility across different test environments.

It has R&S ZNB3-K50(P) option, developed in collaboration with METAS, the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology. This feature enables the analyzer to calculate and display measurement uncertainty bands in real-time, a capability previously limited to metrology labs.
